Treatment of patients with HIV

• To date, no drug or therapy can cure AIDS.
• It is unlikely that the availability of AIDS vaccines in the near future.
• The best standard treatment currently available is a three antirretroviales combinanciòn (ARV).
• ARVs are not available worldwide, are expensive and must be managed properly.
